Ruby is a beautiful 4-year-old female Eclectus in perfect feather and excellent health. She’s on a clean diet of fresh vegetables and TOP’s organic pellets, and she’s thriving. I'm not 100% sure of her specific subspecies, but my guess is Red Sided. Ruby isn’t hand tame, but she’s curious and enjoys being around people on her own terms. She’s a great fit for someone experienced with parrots who understands the Eclectus temperament and doesn’t mind a more independent bird. She might warm up more over time, but she’s not looking for a hands-on companion right now—and that’s okay. She does talk and makes a variety of sound effects, adding personality and fun to her environment.
