Caiques are the clowns of the parrot world, the silliest and most entertaining of all the parrots. These guys are a lot of fun, they wake up ready to play or eat. They play hard and eat a lot. Very sweet and loving. They get along with the whole family, while most parrots prefer one person. Caiques do have a favorite person, but will play with others if the preferred is busy. They love toys and know how to play with them, so you will need a toy saving account. They rarely talk and then only a few words, but they make up for it because they know how to give kisses and are good whistlers. If you want a bird to sit on a perch, a caique will not do, he is much too busy for that. If you let him out of his cage you will have to keep an eye on him. Caiques can find trouble.
